This page explains what Shoppism keeps, why, and how it is protected.
1. What we keep
- Names, emails, mobile numbers and passwords of shop owners and staff (passwords only in encrypted form).
- What you add to your shop: products, photos, orders, customer details and accounts.
- Technical data the service needs to work, such as the log-in cookie.
2. Why we keep it
- To run your shop and its website.
- To send sign-up, password and order emails.
- To stop fraud and keep the service safe.
We do not sell your data or your customers’ data.
3. How it is protected
Each shop’s data is kept separate and is also protected inside the database, so one shop can never see another’s. Passwords and email-server passwords are stored encrypted.
4. Your customers’ data
You own and are responsible for your customers’ data. We only use it to provide your shop’s service.
5. Deleting data
To close your account or delete your data, contact us. We delete everything except what the law requires us to keep.
